To make cape:

2. Turn in 1/2 inch and stitch up each end. Turn in 1 inch at top to make a casing and stitch down.
3. Attach safety pin to one end of 1/2 inch x 36 inch purple ribbon to thread into casing so both ribbon ends extends 1/2 inch past ends of casing. Stitch across ends of casing to secure ribbon.
4. For closure: Separate halves of VELCRO® brand coin. Glue hook piece to one end of casing on wrong side of cape. Glue loop piece to other end of casing, on right side of cape.
5. To finish hat: Cut out a piece of purple chiffon fabric 28 inches x 18 inches and glue one end to the point of the witch’s hat.

To make skirt:
1. Enlarge skirt pattern as desired (see below
)
witch costume2. Cut 19 skirt pieces of each color of sparkly fabric for a total of 38
3. Using black ribbon as waistband, glue a point of each skirt piece on to black ribbon so pieces overlap slight.
4. For skirt closure: Separate halves of Sew-On tape. Glue or sew hook piece to one end of waistband, on wrong side of ribbon. Glue or sew loop piece to other end of waistband, on right side of ribbon.
5. Dress child in top and leggings. Wrap and fasten skirt around waist, cape around neck and hat on head. Glue spiders onto cape.

How to Enlarge Pattern
Using a colored pencil and ruler, mark a grid on the pattern by connecting grid lines around the edges. On a sheet of paper, mark a grid of 1-inch squares or size given,
making the same number of squares as on the pattern. To do this, use graph paper with 1-inch squares. In each square, draw the same lines as in the corresponding square on the pattern. Another way to enlarge is by using a photocopier.
