Basic
Hood for Frog,
Puppy Dog
and Bunny
Materials:
1/2 yard felt in desired color,
3" strip of VELCRO® brand STICKY BACK® tape
matching thread, pins, scissors, sewing machine
Instructions:
Enlarge hood pattern as necessary to fit child. (Pattern
at bottom of page.) Cut 2 hood sections from felt. Pin and stitch back
curved edge in 1/4" seam; clip curves. Turn right side out. Cut tape into
2 equal pieces; separate halves. Attach 2 hook sections, side by side,
to outside of right neck edge where indicated on pattern. Attach 2 loop
sections to inside of left neck edge in same manner for closure under
the chin.

green felt,
2 ping-pong balls,
4 VELCRO® brand STICKY
BACK® coins
Instructions:
Place hood on child's head. Separate STICKY BACK®
coins. Attach 2 loop sections to top of hood at desired eye placement.
Attach 1 hook section to each ball; press into place for eyes. Attach
1 loop section to front of each eye for pupils. (If necessary, cut the
coins down to make smaller size pupils in proportion to the ping-pong
ball eyes.)

cream color felt,
remnants of brown felt or felt squares,
fabric glue,
6" strip of VELCRO® brand
STICKY BACK® tape,
wide ribbon
Instructions:
Make basic hood using cream felt. Cut two 6" X 3" rectangles
from cream felt for ears; cut edge of each ear in curved shape. Place
hood on child's head. Cut STICKY BACK® tape into 2 equal pieces;
separate halves. Attach hook section to upper edge of each ear. Attach
loop sections to sides of hood at desired ear position. Cut small spots
from brown felt; glue to hood and ears as desired. Tie ribbon in bow around
one ear.

pink, white, grey or tan felt,
remnant of desired inner-ear color,
2 white pipe cleaners,
fabric glue,
6" strip of VELCRO® brand
STICKY BACK® tape
Instructions:
Make basic hood from any color felt. Cut two 8" X 3" rectangles
from hood-color felt for ears and two 8" X 3" rectangles from inner-ear
color felt; cut upper edge of each ear and inner-ear in curve. Glue pipe
cleaner to center of each ear; glue inner-ear on top, edges even. Place
hood on child's head. Cut STICKY BACK® tape into 2 equal pieces;
separate halves. Attach hook section to lower edge of each ear. Attach
loop sections to sides of hood. Press hook and loop sections together
to fasten.
