The Better Business Bureau
The umbrella organization for the Better Business Bureau was founded in 1912 and today is supported by 230,000 local business members. The site contains consumer and business information on topics such as Scam Alerts and Advisories, Truth and Accuracy in Advertising, Charity Monitoring and Donor Education, Consumer and Business Education and marketplace complaints and inquiries.

Consumer Product Safety Commission
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is an independent federal regulatory agency created in 1972 by Congress in the Consumer Product Safety Act. The commission enforces regulations involving safety and flammability issues for textile products.

International Organization for Standardization
The ISO is a worldwide federation of national standard bodies from some 100 countries. ISO is a non-government organization established in 1947. National Fraud Information Center
The NFIC is a project of the National Consumer League, America's oldest non-profit consumer organization. The NFIC helps consumers report fraud and offers helpful advice on how to avoid becoming a victim. A toll free number in the U.S, 1-800-876-7060, provides consumers with answers to questions about mail or telephone solicitations and information on reporting fraud.

Oak Ridge Centers For Manufacturing Technology Textile Program
The ORCMT Program matches technical resources from the U.S. Department of Energy facilities in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, to industry problems and concerns for the Integrated Textile Industry (Fiber/Textile/Apparel/Retail). A variety of work arrangements can be made between the DOE and the Integrated Textile Industry, including Cooperation Research and Development Agreements (CRADA's), User Facility Agreements, Regional Outreach Programs, and direct funding.
