QUALITY COUNTS

Treat your wardrobe as an investment---choose the best quality you can afford and then take good care of it. Allocate the most funds to classics in good fabrics that will last more than one season. Then, treat yourself to one or two trendy pieces to freshen your look.

  • Shop the designer departments just to see what’s new, and to study quality construction. Turn the garment inside out---look at the fabric, lining, buttons---and then compare.
  • Always check the care label for fiber content and care instructions. Dry cleaning can be hard on your clothes, and it adds to the cost of the garment.
  • Look for seasonless, easy-care fabrics, like cotton, cotton and Lycra® spandex blends, washable silk, lightweight wool and acrylic knits, and microfiber to get the most mileage from your wardrobe investment. Many new synthetic blends look and feel natural, yet they won’t fade or lose their shape when they’re washed in the machine with WOOLITE® Fabric Wash.
