FabricLink's Career Paths for the Textile Industry
Mission Statement
Our Mission is to:
- Promote an understanding of the Textile and Apparel Industry; who comprises the Industry; what they do; and how they work together to produce and sell apparel and textile goods.
- Create awareness of the wide range of career paths and job opportunities that exist in the apparel, textile, and related retail industries.
- Provide a resource of information on the job categories within the various segments of the industry, along with the minimum skill and/or education level required.
- Serve as a platform for colleges, universities, and trade schools to reach primary and secondary school students and generate interest in pursuing careers in the textile/apparel/retail Industry.
- Serve as a catalyst for Industry businesses and associations to evangelize the needs and opportunities available in the Industry.

Please join us in support of our Industry. Through our combined effort, we can reach out and inspire students and those with the creativity, enthusiasm and fresh ideas, that are so important to drive the Industry. You can help by:
- Share your ideas and comments for Career Paths Contact us by e-mail.
- Send us ideas of Industry career paths to include.
- Provide information regarding a specific job category or position, include a description of responsibilities, level of education required, skills & experience needed, and what .
- Provide photos (digital preferred) showing examples of factory, design, or retail activities. You will be given credit for the photos used.
- Provide information regarding educational curriculum or outreach programs for upgrading skills.
- Sponsor a virtual tour of a textile mill, dye house, cut and sew operation, embroidery factory, etc.
- Sponsor a feature to promote awareness of the Industry, it´s diversity and needs. Feature could have a broad or focused view.
- Provide other resources of additional information.
